Our Promise

To exceed your every expectation. From diagnosis to discharge, from rehabilitation to recovery, we are committed to delivering exceptional and extraordinary results.

About Our Facility

It’s been proven that your surroundings directly impact your healing. The Midwest Spine and Orthopedic Hospital is designed to maximize your comfort with plenty of windows and natural lighting; soothing colors; comfortable spaces for you and your family; and tranquil environments that set the stage for individualized attention.

With only two floors to navigate, patients and families find that everything they need is only a few steps away from each other. Our main entrance is close to day surgery and inpatient rooms. Patient rooms are very close to operating suites and physical rehabilitation areas.

“Hotel-Like” Private Patient Rooms

Whether you’re on site for the day or need to stay overnight, you’ll find comfortable accommodations with nursing stations just out the door. Our 60 inpatient rooms are arranged in “suites” of 20 rooms each, with additional rooms on our first floor for “day surgery” purposes.

Our unique rooms transform to meet your changing needs as your level of care changes. This means you and your family can remain in one spacious, comfortably appointed private room for your entire stay — where you’ll experience more comfort, less anxiety, and highly personalized nursing care.

Places to Converse or Reflect

Quiet waiting areas and consult rooms are located just outside of our three, second floor inpatient areas. Use these spaces to collect thoughts, discuss the events of the day or contact other family members in privacy.

Our first floor Meditation Room offers a soothing, quiet place for you to reflect, pray or just “be.”

Specialty Services Area

Pre-admission education? Imaging? Surgery? Rehabilitation? All of these areas are convenient to your room and public spaces, but they’re tucked away for your privacy and comfort.

You’ll work with our skilled surgeons, nurses, clinical team members and others who want to make you feel welcomed and soothed on your path to an improved quality of life.

Community Health Needs Assessment

Beyond working to fulfill our Mission on a daily basis, our Values compel us to share our talents and resources in an even greater way to benefit the communities we serve. Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare continues to live out our Mission by providing programs and services throughout the community to address needs that have been identified surrounding our facilities.

In 2012, Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare partnered with the Milwaukee Health Care Partnership which includes Aurora Health Care, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, Columbia St. Mary’s Health System, Froedtert Health, ProHealth Care, Federally Qualified Health Centers and public health departments to collaboratively conduct a community health needs assessment. Third-party organizations, JKV Research, LLC, and Center for Urban Population Health were also contracted to help conduct the assessment. The assessment consisted of three key processes in order to obtain data, a telephone health survey, secondary data research and key informant interviews and focus groups. Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare has worked diligently to provide a summary report including data and key takeaways, as well as an implementation strategy that demonstrates improvement efforts that our facility is committed to addressing.
