Why did you choose Midwest Orthopedic Specialty Hospital?

A friend’s referral to Dr. Bamrah.

What was your pain/discomfort level?

I couldn’t walk. My pain was at an eight on a one to 10 scale. I had to use a walker to get around.

What was your recovery time?

6 weeks

When did you return to normal activity?

I started walking in shoes eight weeks post-surgery.

How were the doctors and staff?

I believe the difference between good and excellent care comes from relationships built between the patient and the doctor. Dr. Bamrah asked about my lifestyle and my goals after I recovered from the injury. He wanted to know where I wanted the procedure to take me and allowed me to make decisions with him and discussed all my options. That is just not something I have experienced with other doctors. He got to know me as a person as well as a patient. I would recommend Dr. Bamrah to anyone. His compassion is amazing.

Full Story

I live an active lifestyle and when I broke my foot, I worried the things I loved may be in jeopardy. I was babysitting my grandson, lost my balance and heard a pop. The broken foot severely limited my mobility and restricted my walking as well as time spent with my grandson. I’d take a bullet for the kids and it really hurt to not be able to play with them.

I chose Dr. Bamrah upon a reference from a friend and said I couldn’t be any luckier. Dr. Bamrah explained the fracture and didn’t sugarcoat the injury. He told me it wasn’t going to heal itself and recommended surgery after exhausting all other options. He allowed me to make a good decision because I knew all the treatment options. I was also very relieved after discovering Dr. Bamrah worked with an elite athletic organization, the Kansas City Chiefs. It puts my mind at ease that if he treated professional athletes, then he can treat me. I think you are only as good as the people you surround yourself with.

There is a silver lining in everything and I’m very happy to have experienced Midwest Orthopedic Specialty Hospital. At other hospitals you just feel like a number. There are so many different departments. But at MOSH, I felt so much more comfortable. The staff asked about my family, and I believe they took a genuine interest in me. From the nurse who checked my blood pressure to the receptionist, everyone brought something great to the table.
